All-optical simultaneous amplitude and phase regeneration for MPSK signal with ASE noise based on two-wave PSA

چکیده

A phase sensitive amplification (PSA) regeneration model for M-ary shift keying (MPSK) signals with amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) noise based on the interference between signal and its (M+1)th harmonic is proposed. Compared existing models different combinations of harmonics, new optimal in theory to deal MPSK degraded by ASE noise. The QPSK format taken as an example simulation verification two classic are also performed same parameters comparison. performance evaluated input–output constellations, amplitude factors, relay distance at bit error rate (BER) 3.8×10?3 measuring transmission reach after regenerator. results show that has ASE-noise format, which promising be applied large-capacity, flexible, reliable optical transport networks.
